On July 11, 2024, a celebration of generosity and community spirit took place at The Christopher Farms and Gardens, marking the United Way of Sheboygan County’s annual Campaign Celebration. This event was a heartwarming testament to the power of collective philanthropy and the dedication of countless individuals and organizations who strive to make Sheboygan County a better place for all.

Honoring Excellence: This Year’s Award Winners

The day was graced with insightful remarks from Laura Kohler of Kohler Company. Laura took us on a journey through the 90-year history of United Way of Sheboygan County, reflecting on the profound impact we've made together in our community. Her words reminded us of the enduring legacy of philanthropy and the vital role it plays in fostering a thriving community.

The Campaign Celebration also featured a special awards ceremony to honor the remarkable contributions of local businesses and organizations. Congratulations to all our nominees and winners in the following categories:

- Rising Star: This year, Froedert Hospital, Johnsonville Sausage, and Old Wisconsin were recognized for their emerging impact. We are thrilled to congratulate Old Wisconsin for taking home this well-deserved award!

- Top Campaign Ambassadors: Bemis Manufacturing, McClone Insurance Agency, and C&S Wholesale Grocers were all celebrated for their dedication to our annual fundraising campaigns. A heartfelt congralations to Bemis Manufacturing as the winner in this category.

- Sustained Excellence: Plenco (Plastics Engineering Company), Torginol, and Wigwam were nominated for their continued excellence in philanthropy. A big congratulations to Plenco for receiving this prestigious award!

Celebrating the Top 10 Most Generous Workplaces

Your generosity has enabled local agencies and nonprofits to continue their vital work, addressing complex challenges and improving the futures of many in our community.

The Power of Giving: Impact of Our Fundraising Campaign

Your incredible support has made a tangible difference. In the past year alone:

  • Over 9,000 youth have engaged in programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Nourish, Rainbow Kids and others. 

 

  • Nearly 24,000 nights of shelter have been offered through Safe Harbor and Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization (SCIO).

 

  • The Providing Access to Healing (PATH) school-based mental health program delivered almost 10,000 therapy sessions to more than 500 students across Sheboygan County schools.

A special thank you goes to Mr. Jay Christopher and the team at The Christopher Farms and Gardens. Your enchanting venue provided the perfect backdrop for this memorable evening. Your generosity in sharing your space with us is a shining example of community spirit.
