Born to Succeed is United Way of Sheboygan County’s focus area under the education building block. Born to Succeed is an United Way early childhood initiative developed in partnership with the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County, offering a large variety of new parent learning opportunities as well as continued parent and child support services.
As a pilot project starting in the Plymouth area, Born to Succeed offers various screening and referral services to families in the Plymouth School District to address and prevent developmental issues. Children – ages 0 to 4 – are learning at the most critical time of life. Receiving healthy enrichment for the body and mind is of incredible importance in early childhood and sets to stage for academic and social development later in life.
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Born to Succeed is a tool kit for families to utilize for their children’s future success. The benefits to children and families involved in the program are enormous. Families can develop strong parent/child bonds while supporting critical problem solving, social, language, and motor skills.
If you live in the Plymouth area and are a parent to a child under the age of four, please contact the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County at (920) 892-6706 for more information on how you may participate in Born to Succeed.
