Now more than ever we need your help as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads. The health and financial stability of our friends and neighbors are being affected due to COVID-19. Under the guidance of the United Way of Sheboygan County board of directors and Sheboygan Service Club, a committee of community partners will review the most pressing needs in our community and allocate funds to nonprofit agencies that will provide support to those suffering from financial hardship due to COVID-19.

100% of the funds raised through the Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund will be used to help those affected throughout our community. United Way of Sheboygan County is contributing $10,000 from emergency reserve funds to launch this fund.
Please Note: Any "tips" given through RallyUp cover their required processing fees. 100% of the funds raised go directly to the Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund as United Way of Sheboygan County will absorb internal administrative costs and finance all the RallyUp fees that are not covered through "tips".

I’m an individual who’s been affected by COVID-19. Can this Fund help me?
We understand many individuals and families have been impacted by the outbreak and more will continue to be affected. The function of the Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund is to provide resources to nonprofit organizations that directly support vulnerable community members across Sheboygan County.
While the fund is not able to provide direct grants to individuals, it will support local nonprofit organizations that have experience providing people and families with services and support. Connect to these resources by calling 2-1-1.
My organization is interested in resources from this Fund. Can we be considered?
A Fund Distribution Team convened from the United Way of Sheboygan County board of directors to ensure that the grants awarded meet the greatest needs of those who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
Based upon the charitable structure of the Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund, our grants are limited to 501c3 nonprofit organizations, groups fiscally sponsored by a 501c3 nonprofit organization, or other charitable organizations able to receive a tax-deductible contribution, such as schools, faith-based organizations, and other public entities. We are not able to fund individuals or businesses directly, labor unions, or other 501c4, 501c5, and 501c6 organizations.
I want to donate. Can I restrict my funding to a prioritized grantee?
To ensure we move resources as efficiently as possible and respond to needs of communities most impacted, we will not accept restricted donations at this time. The Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund was created in hopes of providing a way to coordinate as many resources as possible to the highest area of need.
Should I give to this Fund instead of making other donations?
If the Sheboygan County COVID-19 Relief Fund priorities align with your values, please consider donating today. The fund was created to streamline contributions for COVID-19 needs in Sheboygan County, not only to create a coordinated and efficient process for all involved, both organizations and donors, but also to assess the greatest needs of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this critical time, please continue to give to organizations you regularly support, and those that need your help. Now is the time to double down for our community.
What will NOT be included in the first phase of funding?
Multiple phases of funding are anticipated to address both the acute needs now and the longer-term impacts of the outbreak and recovery. The first phase of rapid-response grants will prioritize community-based organizations which are serving individuals who are immediately and disproportionately suffering from this crisis. The main goal in phase one is to help meet basic needs and help increase resiliency in affected communities.
The second phase, if needed, will provide financial relief to local organizations which have been strained financially due to increased demand for service and lost revenue due to cancelled events during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main goal in phase two is to return the local social sector back to normal as quickly as possible. This will allow the organizations to continue providing high quality service to meet the needs of those they serve.
How do I know my entire donation will go to communities impacted by COVID-19?

When will you share who has received funding?
We anticipate making a first round of investments in the coming weeks and will publish the list of grantees on the United Way of Sheboygan County website, along with descriptions of the services and support they are providing. We hope that this will help the community navigate to available resources.
