2020 Day of Caring

Time: 7:30 am
This annual event, hundreds of community volunteers gather together to complete nonprofit projects around the county. They dig in the dirt, paint various corners, build walls, ... this list goes on and the impact is broad.

How to Participate:
- Assemble your team of volunteers and choose a team lead. Choose a team name and make sure to collect t-shirt sizes for everyone participating.
- Your team lead then creates a login to the Volunteer Center. CLICK HERE to create a login to your account.
- Take a look online at the Day of Caring Projects and pick one. Projects for 2020 Day of Caring will be posted closer to the date of the event.
- Sign up for a project by clicking "Respond as a Team" and fill in the form. (**Your team leader will need to know how many volunteers are coming and their t-shirt sizes at this time.)
Day of the Event:
7:30 am - All volunteers will meet at the Sheboygan A’s Ballpark for the Day of Caring and United Way Campaign kickoff. This includes a light breakfast, a short presentation from United Way staff and co-chairs, and a mascot race! From there, a representative from each volunteer site should be present to connect with Volunteer Team leaders to give them directions or any last-minute instructions.
If you are a community member that would like to participate in the kick-off breakfast, you can register separately (registration will open closer to the event). If you have signed up as a volunteer for the day, then your breakfast is included.
8:30 am to 4:30 pm - Volunteer projects will take place.

On September 12, 2019 - 1016 individuals participated in 2019 Day of Caring by completing 58 projects for 38 nonprofit agencies across Sheboygan County. Thank you to those that participated and sponsored this event!
